Educational Qualification:

Agricultural Officer:

  • Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (B.Sc Agriculture), Must possess adequate knowledge of Tamil or its equivalent from a recognized board.

Assistant Director of Agriculture:

  • Candidates should have passed Degree of M.Sc., in Agricultural Extension or Agricultural Economics, Provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to those who possess the M.Sc., degree in Agricultural Extension or its equivalent from a recognized board.

Horticultural Officer:

  • Candidates should have passed Degree in B.Sc., Horticulture or its equivalent from a recognized board.

Age Limit:

  • Agricultural Officer – Max 32 years
  • Assistant Director of Agriculture – Max 32 years
  • Horticultural Officer – Max 34 years
  • SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories – No Age Limit

Salary:

  • Agricultural Officer – Rs.37,700 – 1,38,500/-
  • Assistant Director of Agriculture – Rs.56,100 – 2,05,700/-
  • Horticultural Officer – Rs.37,700 – 1,38,500/-

Selection Method:

  • Written Examination (OMR/CBT Method)
  • Oral Test in the shape of an interview
